Prayer Request May 2008

The fiery darts keep coming and the end of the trials does not seem to be near. Our faith is tried on a daily basis. Even in the midst of those trials, there are many blessings. Some are great and some are small, but they are there. Even during these trials, He is easing our sufferings!

Jonah 4:6
And the LORD God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant.

We would like to ask your prayers for young Cole, a grandson of one of our blogger friends, who is really ill.

If you can, please pay him a visit, read his post and leave a comment. If you can't that is okay. Please remember him in your prayers. Thank y'all so much.

Dear Partners,
I would like you to know that Cole's post is very recent, but the dates on his blog are all messed up. So are the dates on the comments.

Cole's test results will be in on May 8th or 9th, as he mentioned in his post. May God bless this boy with good health and strengthen him and his family. All in accordance with His will. In Jesus' name we ask. Amen!

We would like to ask your prayers again for Patrick. They heard today, after a second opinion, that it is cancer. They will know more about the treatment next week.
May God grant Patrick total healing and strength for both him and Noor.
Thank y'all so much.

My mother-in-law's brother died of cancer last night. We would like to ask your prayers for his family. We are grateful he was able to spend the last days of his life in his own home, as he wanted. May God give them strength and comfort as they go through these trying times and deal with this loss.

We also like to ask your prayers for Patrick. He will start 4 rounds of chemo next week. The chances however for the chemo to take effect are 30 to 40%. If this treatment has no effect, there is another one, but the chances for that one are even lower.
May God have mercy on this young couple, give them encouragement and strength and grant Patrick total healing.

Thank y'all so much for praying with us.

Lord, i lift up to you patrick. Lord, may you touch him with your healing hands. i pray, in faith, that your name will be glorified in patrick's life. we may not understand why things are happening the way they are but thank you, Lord, because you know. thank you that our prayers are not in vain. you have a reason why and we trust your judgement. Lord, strengthen noor as she walks with patrick in this trying journey. i pray that you will comfort this couple knowing that the God who parted the red sea is in control.

i also pray for the family of corry's MIL's brother. may you comfort them and grant them peace in their hearts.

thank you, Lord, for just being there, looking over us. i praise your name, in Jesus' name, i pray all these, amen.

One of our prayer-partners asks your prayers for their son:

"I would appreciate your prayers for my son, Clay. He is scheduled to have an odd-looking mole surgically removed from his back on Tuesday. Please pray that everything will go well and that we will get a good report from this."

May God bless and give them a very good report!

One of our former prayer-partner's daughter and her husband have lost the husband's brother and his wife recently. The young couple was caught in a tornado and died, while on their way to visit them.

May God ease the pain of this tragic loss and fill their hearts with peace and comfort. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen!
