Prayer Request March 2008

The reason of this late post is, because I let earthly things consume my mind. I put more value on them then I should have.

It is way too easy to let that happen. God has a way though to pull us back. His ways are gentle and loving. When we are receptive to the reminder, we see it. I know I did and I am so grateful. Not only did it pull me back to Him, it also gave me great peace. Building treasures on this earth will all pass, building treasures in Heaven will remain forever!

Matthew 6:20
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

I ask my brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with me in agreement for three things. 1) that God provides for me financially to pay for my bills on time 2) for my brother's salvation and 3) for my husband jec to turn away from sins and turn his face towards God.

life is really hard but i do believe that with God all things are possible. He can soften the hardest of hearts.

Father, we ask your provision for Pia and we lift up Pia's brother and husband to You. May You give Pia what she needs to sustain herself and may You lead her brother to find his way to You. Please, guide Jec back to Your path and strengthen him to turn away from sin. All in accordance with Your will. In Jesus' precious name, we ask. Amen!

I am trying to relocate to Raleigh, NC now and get a new paralegal/legal assistant job there, and I have sent out a gazillion resumes and registered with two agencies. Now, I need some providence. The legal market in my area is saturated with attorneys / paralegals, and more work is becoming temporary in nature. So, sometimes finding new assignments is tough. =)

We would like to ask your prayers for Beth and Timothy's grandmother, who fell from the stairs and broke her neck. She has no paralasis and will have to have surgery.

We also would like to ask your prayers for my grandmother who has cervical cancer and is on heavy morfine. They won't do surgery because of her old age.

Please pray for a friend who will be going through a divorce and has 2 children.

May God be merciful and gracious on all of them, strengthen and encourage them and all involved through these ordeals and trials and fill their hearts with His everlasting love.

Thank y'all so much for praying. God bless you.

Father God, thank you for sending Your son Jesus to die for our sins. As we reflect on the tragegy, triumph and meaning of Easter, and Your great love for us all, we praise you and surrender ourselves to you afresh.

I commit Pia, Jec and Pia's brother, Ryan, Corry's grandmother, a friend who will be going through a divorse with 2 children, Beth and Timothy's grandmother, and their mother into Your powerful hands. May you help each and everyone of them and have mercy on them. We pray that you'll strengthen them in times of needs. Meet with them and bless them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen!

Lord, i lift up to you ryan. i pray that you'll continue to guide him to where you want him to be. open doors of opportunities for him where he can shine. Lord, i ask for favor for ryan.

i pray for beth and timothy's grandma and for corry's grandma too. i pray that you'll give them the strength they need as they face this pain. Lord, be with them always. i also ask for healing and recovery for these grandmas. even in their old age, i believe that it is your will for them to be healed.

i lift up to you corry's friend too who's going through divorce. i pray for enlightenment for both parties. i believe that you hate divorce and it is your will to save hurting marriages. Lord, i am not going to ask anything that would promote divorce, but Lord, instead, i ask that you will remove the scales from this couple's eyes that they may see the truth and the truth will set them free. i pray that they will both be freed from the trap of the devil and turn all their concerns to you.

Lord, an empty tomb means Jesus is alive and therefore our marriages and bodies are also alive/healed. thank you, Lord, for all you've done for us. thank you, Lord, for your love and mercy. in Jesus' name, amen.

I had another job interview, this time with a law firm, and I am very anxious, stressed, uncertain and apprehensive about my future. I realize after introspection in what I have said and written as of late to many others, that my anxiety reveals itself, and I need to address it.

I need to take my own advice sometimes, and I need prayer. Sigh.

Do Not Be Anxious about Your Life
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 25 "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day.
—Matthew 6:24-34

I'm trying to keep all that in mind. Sigh.
