Prayer Request May 2007
When words and actions don't line up, we become untrustworthy. Our deeds, actions and words need to match in order to be a good follower of Our Savior and have a trustworthy testimony. We should all lead by example!
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Please pray for Laurie, a friend of a friend. She has 5 children and has just been given two weeks to live. Her husband believes that God will heal her, though she was diagnosed with incurable cancer. Her daughter's wedding was moved from October to Friday this week, so please pray for the newlyweds as well.
Father, we lift up Laurie and her family to You.
We know all things are possible in and through You and we ask You for healing for Laurie. Please grant her health and strengthen the family throughout this trial. Comfort them and fill their hearts and lives with Your abundant love and peace. Bless them Father, in accordance with Your will and in Jesus' name we pray. Amen!

Dear Friends
Please pray for my child Bel.
She had been diagnosed with dengue fever.
Her fever was at 40.3C and dropped to 38.9C this morning.
Her blood count is low.
Her migraine and body aches are gone.
Bel has to go for daily blood test which is painful.
She had been hospitalised since 11 May.
She wants to be discharged.
Her blood count and temperature must be normal first.
Please pray for complete and speedy healing from our Heavenly Father.
Thank you.
Yours gratefully
Audrey

Please pray for my mom who has non-hodgkins lymphoma, which is basically cancer of the immune system. It's progressing and we fear it's spread to her windpipe from the lymph nodes in her neck. She has countless other problems like an auto-immune disease and Sjogren's Syndrome. She blew her knee, it's racked with pain and has a tear in it, and she is so overwhelmed with medical bills, she cannot pay for surgery at this time, or even have it in spite of ample health insurance. The deductible for the operation is $2,500+. Plus, there are stacks of medical bills.

Father, Your grace, mercy and love for us are so great, that we can only stand in awe and be humbled by it. And our gratitude is great! Yet we come to You with another request for Ryan's mom. You know their needs, Father and we know You will give what's needed, when it's needed. Please strengthen and comfort her and her family with your love and peace, ease her pain and her burdens. All in accordance with Your will. In Jesus' precious name. Amen!
I found this devotional and was moved by it. I'm thankful God's grace admist life's tumults. I get stressed sometimes, and it's easy to forget while we have the consolation of finding prayer and fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ, we can go straight to the throne of grace with our unmet needs and supplications.

Full Reliance on God
by Charles Spurgeon
For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. (Psalm 72:12)
The needy cries; what else can he do? His cry is heard of God; what else need he do? Let the needy reader take to crying at once, for this will be his wisdom. Do not cry in the ears of friends, for even if they can help you it is only because the Lord enables them. The nearest way is to go straight to God and let your cry come up before Him. Straightforward makes the best runner: run to the Lord and not to secondary causes.
"Alas!" you cry, "I have no friend or helper." So much the better; you can rely upon God in both capacities-as without supplies and without helpers. Make your double need your double plea. Even for temporal mercies you may wait upon God, for He careth for His children in these temporary concerns. As for spiritual necessities, which are the heaviest of all, the Lord will hear your cry and will deliver you and supply you.
O poor friend, try your rich God. O helpless one, lean on His help. He has never failed me, and I am sure He will never fail you. Come as a beggar, and God will not refuse you help. Come with no plea but His grace. Jesus is King; will He let you perish of wants What! Did you forget this'
