Prayer Request May 2009
Anxieties..., I think we all may have experienced them. Not knowing what is going to happen next, being concerned and consumed either with the afflictions of others who we care about, or ourselves. The worries and concerns tend to paralyse us and constantly keep us on our toes.
There are situations that we can not do anything about, or are not even our responsibility. God gave us the solution to those circumstances: Faith. It is comforting to know that He has ways and everything will work it out in His time.
Psalm 94:19
In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

Bel has an offer in Bachelor of Psychology from James Cook University in Singapore.
On 07 May she'll be sitting for a test and an interview in the School of Computing in National University of Singapore.

I got an email this morning from my friend "S". Please join me in prayer for her urgent need. Thank you.
I have a urgent prayer request. I have an electric bill due by the 26th for $500+. the whole bill is over $1,000, but they want a little over $500 by next week. I've talked to the electric co. & my management office, but to no avail. I don't believe the charges are justified. last year, PEPCO overcharged me and ended up giving me over $300 credit. I believe I'm due a credit again. it's just me, and I don't use that kind of electricity, even with the heating. I pay $130 monthly on the average payment plan, and with them billing me between $245 and almost $300 a few months, it's really added up.
first of all, I don't have $500 and second of all, I don't feel I owe them that much money. they say I do; I say I don't. my management office hasn't gotten back to me yet from the letter I wrote them. I've been to them 3 different times.
need urgent prayer. don't want my electricity to be shut off next week. need God to move on my behalf.

I just talked to PEPCO, and I made arrangements to pay $100 tomorrow and another $200 on monday, so that will take me until the next billing cycle. I'm still praying that PEPCO will see they made a mistake with my meter reading a few months ago and give me credit for a few hundred dollars.
thank you all sooooo much for praying with me and for me on this. prayer really makes a difference as you can see. remember, at first they wanted over $500; now they're accepting the $300 with no disconnection.
