Prayer Request January 2006

A Happy New Year to all of you!

A whole new year ahead of us. Many have good intentions to break old habbits, to add some good things in their lives, or to finally do what they have been dreading for so long. You know what that is for you. Maybe we can add spending some more time with The Lord in praise for all the many blessings He gave us and share those with others.

May God answer all our prayers in this coming year, the requests that are and the requests that will be. And praise to You, Our Father, for hearing our prayers and having answered them.

John 7:38
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Please also pray for Andrea. She wrote in her blog:

I know that God will fulfill His purpose for my life, for Matt's life, for my family's life. Yet, I think it will be pleasing to Him to pray about some specific matters.

1) That if it is God's will, Matt be referred to our family within the next couple weeks (her timetable that she mentioned).
2) That there would be no problems or unforseen delays with interstate or other potentially problematic obsticles.
3) That God would prepare all of our hearts and our home and provide for all answers to all details.

Prayerfully, Kitty

Please continue to pray for my dear friend Candice. Her results from colonoscopy and
gastrocopy have come out. Basically the doctor found that she is suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and chronic blood infection of some sort. Her kidneys are really weak, her liver is very very swollen. Candice 's energy level is 4.5 when in fact the normal person's energy level has to be about 25 to 55! She needs to see the doctor every day for the next week.

Most gracious heavenly Father,
I am so thankful that there is no mention of cancer in Candice but I can only come again and beg for Your blessings on her. I know You are able to give her health and I place all my hope and trust in Your mercy. Would You please grant her health? I ask for Your providence in accordance with Your will and that all who might see Your hand on her could be edified and glorify Your Name. It's in the perfect name of Jesus and through Him I beg this of You.

Father, we pray for Candice and Pia's mom. May Your healing Hands be upon them and give them a quick recovery.

We pray You give Andrea and her family strength and comfort during this waiting period and may You have chosen them to be the family for this young boy.

For all those who lost their homes in the fire, we ask for Your grace and mercy upon them.

We pray for Your protection upon B&R and for strength and comfort for their families. Please keep them safe and may we hear from them soon.

As Pia's interview is coming up, we ask You to sustain Pia with hope and encouragement and we pray You will bless her and Jec with a visa.

For all those in need, known and unknown, Father You know their needs. May You provide and work in their lives.

Thank y'all for the prayers for Kc and me. Kc is doing much better and I am so grateful!

I thank You Father, for all those who are and have been praying with and for us. May You bless them with joy, happiness and good health. May You fill their lives with Your grace and glory.

My church is having a prayer and fasting time between Thursday and Saturday this week. They are meeting each night to pray and they are fasting (in part or completely abstaining from food, but drinking a lot of water). They are seeking God before they go into some remote parts of Africa, on missions.

I want to participate with them, but I don't think I will be able to meet with them on those nights.

I want to pray and seek God's will and favor for the following things in my life:

1) Matt's adoption, healing, integration into our family and salvation
2) God's favor and purposes be upon our family unit and with each member specifically - like how Job prayed for his family in the beginning of that book
3) That my husband be perfectly directed and given favor by God
4) That I would possess this vessel (body) according to God's power and authority
5) for my wisdom, discernment, understanding of direction and tapping into God (abiding with Him).

I thought I would ask my blogger friends, does anybody want to seek a time of prayer and fasting for three days later this week for seeking God and understanding and His favor in their lives and for the things that we have been praying for, and for our own little community that God has obviously created amongst ourselves - for our going out into our parts of the world with Christ's message? Does anyone want to join me in this prayer and fasting time later this week?

Dear Father, Candice has been unwell recently again. Her health issues have been keeping her from functioning well. May your powerful healing hands be with her, and give the doctor wisdom to help her so that she will have a speedy recovery.

Lord, please be with all in this group who are praying and fasting this weekend. Pray that they will encounter you afresh and draw close to you during the journey. May your direction and guidance be shown to them clearly so that they can live according to your will in 2006, and beyond.

In Jesus name we pray all these, amen!

Amanda has a prayer request on her blog from the other day. It was about this: "Today we spoke to my parents and brother and sister-in-law for the last time while they're in Australia. They've been in Cairns for the last week as my SIL has written about on her blog here My parents are missionaries with New Tribes Mission as are my brother and SIL. Tomorrow they all fly up to Papua New Guinea, it will be the first time for my SIL and she's pretty excited about it." I told that I would pray for them, and so I thought that I would share it with y'all.

Andrea's post reaffirms my thoughts.

Shall we pray for our children's friends? That they will have very supportive Christian friends both
in school and outside school.

Friends are so important. Their influence is so crucial.

May our Lord handpick each and every friend for our children. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen!

Amen, Audrey.

So here is a new prayer list that is in addition to the previous prayer list:

1) That I wouldn't be a worrier. Here’s a phrase to remember: “NO WORRIES.”
2) That I would walk with the assurance of Christ, that I would deeply know, feel and believe that HE will take care of me in ALL circumstances, that He loves me and ANYTHING that HE puts me through I can handle and will be good for me, for others and for His glory, because I am not of this world, just as HE is not of this world. Here’s a word: TRUST.
3) That I would go with the flow and He would flow through me STREAMS OF LIVING WATER (from John). Here’s another word: OBEY.

I pray that HE would give these things to me as a gift. I receive them now, by His power and grace, in Jesus' name, Amen. May He enable me to continue to receive these gifts. For the reader/prayer also, may you receive these gifts from Him. For His eternal, divine and perfect glory, Amen.

Father, I thank you for your faithfulness and your love. I lift up Pia and Jec. Father, we ask that you do what is best for them, and that you help them to feel your comfort and your presence constantly.

Father God, Please, please hold Neal & Jayme in the palm of your hand. Help them to find your comfort and your peace. Raise them up out of the ash heap--heal their spirits. Prepare for Neal a job that will utilize his many talents and will provide for the physical needs of his family. Help me to be supportive in every way that I can. My heart breaks for them, Father. Help them to feel the reality of your presence in their lives. Let their spiritual integrity shine as a beacon in spite of those who would seek to destroy it. Put a hedge around them. Do not let the evil one triumph over them. Let them continually turn their face to you--and let them see there, the love that you have for them. Let Christian brothers and sisters come to them and be Jesus to them--to love them, feed their spirits, and bind up their wounds. Please, Father, please.
