I have an urgent prayer request. A teenager in my church is in an abusive home situation. She ran away early this morning, and called my house extremely frantic. She was so scared, that she didn't stay where she had called me from, so it took about 5 hours to find her. The mother won't let her come stay with me. I just don't know what to do. I want to help her so much, but the mother hinders that. The authorities are aware of the situation, but their hands are basically tied as well. Pray for wisdom for those dealing with it, and strength for the girl to get through this, and her physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

I am really struggling right now with Restless Legs Syndrome. The medication doesn't seem to be working any more and I am sooooo tired--but can't find rest. Being tired makes it worse so it is a vicious cycle and it is so bad right now. Thanks for this blog, Cory!

My church is holding our annual homecoming/anniversary service this sunday, October 23. We use it as a huge evangelistic push into the community. Please pray for many lost to come through the doors, and that the blinders to the gospel will be removed from their eyes, and many will come to accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Thanks, these other requests are still in my prayers.

And also please pray for our oldest "Dutch" daughter who is physically not well.

please pray for my dad. i always pray that God will change him to be a better person. at the age of 60, he still doesn't have Christ in his heart. he drinks and smokes a lot then becomes a different person if he gets drunk. early this week, something terrible happened that i hurriedly packed my things and asked my mom to live with me, i don't know if it's going to be temporary or permanent. my dad now lives alone. i feel so sorry for him but i know he needs to learn his lessons. i just hope and pray that he'll change before it's too late.

please, please, pray for my dad.

Please, pray for Rosanne. We got this in the mail and posted it with her consent:

I am a 59 year old evangelist and I am about to be homeless - again - there must be a homeless spirit assignment on my life because even though I am a very good employee and worker, I have been homeless many times throughout my life.

I have been diligently seeking a job for 8 months and have been fruitless - I know God could provide me a miracle job and supply my needs, but He hasn't come through yet and I have no one else and nowhere else to go. I only have one week before I have to throw everything in the street and sell it and try to make enough money to pay my car payment and live in my car. I have been celibate and living totally for God and obeying His every command for 20+ years so I am very confused why He has not come through for me, as I really had faith He would "supply all my needs according to His riches in glory". I am so confused. If I don't live for God, it's hell. If I do live for God, it's even worse. I just don't get it. Thank you for your prayers. Rosanne

I have and will continue to keep you all in my prayers also.

I am honored, humbled and filled with so much love that I could burst. Thank you all for your prayers for me and others. I am Maryrose and even though I have been crying for almost most of the day (major fall-out with my sister) I have been lifted up by the lovely pure sweetness of God’s grace through all the comments.

Thank you Corry and Pia for your ever present love and unrelenting thoughtfulness regarding me and my life struggles…the light of the Lord is shining through you.

All my love, Maryrose
